The U.S. Collegiate Baseball Team Pitches No-Hitter

Posted by Jay Esquire on July 22, 2010

The U.S. Collegiate Baseball Team pitched a team no hitter on 7/14/2010. One of the 4 pitchers who helped in this effort was east L.A. native Noe Ramirez. Noe came in the ninth inning and struck out all 3 batters on 11 pitches and recorded the save. Noe is also the ace for national ranked college power house Cal State Fullerton going 12-1 this season and defeating current U.S teammate Gerrit Cole of UCLA in the Super Regional this last season, note cole is expected to go in the top 5 for next years 2011 MLB Draft. See More info on the game here – CNT Pitch Combined No-Hitter

5 Reasons The Dodgers May Want To Trade Broxton

Posted by Jay Esquire on July 21, 2010

Here are the top 5 reasons the Los Angeles Dodgers may need to trade closer Jonathan Broxton.

1. Broxton chokes in the big games. Example – Yankee Series – Cardinals series – Giants last night. Phillies in the last 2 seasons in the National Championship Series.

2. Broxton at best is a set up man. He was great in the role when the dodgers had Saito. Now he has lost all his confidence and cant perform in the big games, think Brad Lidge type of melt down.

3. He is predictible, the national league has seem him for the last couple of years and the big name teams with scouts watching him constantly know what to expect.

4. Durability, Broxton is a big boy and doesnt look like he has been getting smaller the last couple years, weight may be an issue in his performance.

5. Dodgers need another starting pitcher, Broxton’s value is not getting any better with all these bad games.

What To Watch Tonight?? Lakers Vs. Suns

Posted by Jay Esquire on November 12, 2009

suns vs lakers

Tonight the lakers face off against the Suns, now currently the suns are being positioned as the best team in the NBA after beating teams like Miami, Boston, Washington and Philly. The lakers are currently the defending champions and this promises to be a big test of strengths for both teams and would give us an early indication on how these teams could fair in the west. Keep in mind Paul Gasol is still out of action for the lakers. PTV’s resident “white boy” Dobler is a huge Suns fan and PTV’s own Jay Esquire will be watching the game at his house cheering for the lakers!
